MOSCOW, Feb 2 (PRIME) -- Smart TV sets and services producer Kivi, with the central office in Moscow and manufacturing facilities in Kaliningrad, will get a U.S. $13 million investment from Chinese manufacturer Shenzhen MTC under an agreement on strategic partnership and deep integration, Kivi Vice President Sergei Venger told PRIME on Tuesday.
Under the deal, the companies will develop innovative products under the Kivi brand during 5 years, Venger said.
Kivi Vice President for Production and Innovations Yevgeny Rudenko said the year of 2020 became historic for the company.
“In the first half of the year, Kivi signed a cooperation agreement with the U.S.’ Google and presented results of such partnership already in August in a new range of its TV sets,” Rudenko said.
“In the second half of the year, we held negotiations with our Chinese partners from MTC on a very deep cooperation, and we’ll show results in our new products in 2021.”
